ADUs & Conversions

Extra living space,
extra possibilities.

Guest house, rental income, home office, or space for aging parents. ADUs and garage conversions add value and flexibility to your property.

ADU Options

Types of ADUs we build

Every property is different. We will help you figure out which type of ADU makes sense for your lot, your budget, and your goals.

Detached ADUs

A standalone structure separate from your main home. Perfect for maximum privacy - ideal for rentals or guest quarters.

Attached ADUs

An addition to your existing home with its own entrance. Great for family members who want to be close but independent.

Garage Conversions

Transform your existing garage into livable space. Often the most cost-effective option since the structure already exists.

Basement Conversions

If you have an unfinished basement, it can become a separate living unit. Good natural light is key - we can add window wells.

Above-Garage Units

Build living space on top of an existing or new garage. Great use of vertical space while maintaining parking below.

Why Build an ADU

More than just
extra square footage.

An ADU is one of the smartest investments you can make in your property. Here is why homeowners across the Willamette Valley are building them.

Rental Income

An ADU can generate $1,000-$2,000+ per month in rental income. It often pays for itself over time.

Multi-Generational Living

Keep aging parents close while giving everyone their own space. Independence with proximity.

Home Office or Studio

A separate workspace away from household distractions. No commute, real separation from home life.

Property Value Increase

ADUs typically add significant value to your property - often more than the cost to build them.

Guest Accommodations

Give visitors their own space instead of displacing family members. Holiday visits get a lot easier.

Oregon ADU Regulations

Oregon makes it easier
to build an ADU.

Good news if you live in Oregon: the state has passed laws making ADUs easier to build than in many other states. Cities cannot require owner-occupancy for ADUs, and many parking requirements have been relaxed.

In most Willamette Valley cities, you can build an ADU up to 800 square feet (or 75% of your primary home, whichever is less) without running into major zoning hurdles.

We stay current on local regulations in Eugene, Corvallis, Albany, Salem, and the surrounding areas. We handle the permit process and make sure your ADU meets all requirements.
