About JDH Construction
Good work speaks
for itself.
We started JDH Construction with a simple idea: do good work, treat people right, and build a reputation one project at a time. That is still the plan.

Why We Started
Because too many contractors
stopped caring.
You know the stories. The contractor who ghosted mid-project. The one who quoted low and hit you with surprises. The crew that left your yard looking like a construction zone for weeks.
John started JDH Construction because he believed it did not have to be that way. Not complicated. Just show up when you say you will, communicate clearly, do quality work, and treat people the way you would want to be treated.
That is still the whole philosophy. It is not revolutionary. It is just how things should be done.
Our Approach
How we work
No corporate buzzwords. No complicated processes. Just straightforward construction done the way it should be.
Small is a Strength
When you hire JDH, you get John. Not a project manager who passes your message to a foreman who talks to a crew lead. You get direct access to the person making decisions on your project.
Communication First
We answer our phones. We respond to texts the same day. We send photo updates without you having to ask. Because wondering what is happening with your project is almost as stressful as a bad result.
Every Project Matters
We are building our reputation one job at a time. That means your kitchen remodel gets the same attention and care as any project we take on. There is no project too small to do right.
Local Pride
We live and work in the Willamette Valley. These are our neighbors, our communities. When we build something in Eugene or Corvallis or Albany, we drive past it. We see it. It matters to us that it holds up.
Meet the Owner
John runs the company.
And shows up on your job.
At a lot of companies, the owner is somewhere in an office while crews handle the work. At JDH, John is on your jobsite. Not every minute of every day, but regularly. Checking quality. Solving problems. Making sure things are going the way they should.
When you call the company phone, John answers. When you have a question about your project, you get a real answer from the person who can actually make decisions. No layers, no runaround.
That is the advantage of working with a smaller outfit. You are not a number. You are a neighbor.

What We Stand For
Our values are
pretty simple.
No mission statements written by committee. Just the things we actually believe and try to live up to on every project.
Craftsmanship
We do work we are proud to put our name on. Every cut, every joint, every finish.
Communication
We answer the phone and keep you informed. No chasing us down for updates.
Honesty
Straight talk about costs, timelines, and what to expect. No surprises.
Accountability
We stand behind our work. If something is not right, we make it right.

how we work.
No sales pitch. Just a straightforward conversation about your project and whether we are a good fit. If we are not the right contractor for the job, we will tell you.
