Common Questions
You might be wondering...
"Is stamped concrete more expensive than regular?"
Yes, stamped concrete costs more than a basic broom finish due to the coloring, stamping, and detail work involved. However, it is significantly less expensive than natural stone or brick pavers and requires less maintenance over time.
"Will the color fade?"
Integral color is mixed into the concrete itself and will not fade, chip, or peel. A UV-resistant seal coat adds extra protection. We recommend re-sealing every 2-3 years to keep colors vibrant.
"Is stamped concrete slippery?"
The texture created by stamping actually provides grip. For areas near pools or that get frequent rain, we can add a non-slip additive to the sealant for extra traction.
"How long does the project take?"
Most stamped concrete projects take 2-4 days depending on size and complexity. Curing takes about a week before full use. The design consultation happens before any work begins.
